My husband, Jonathan, and I have been married for just over a year now. We first met our senior year of high school and dated throughout college. Most of our dating life was long distance, across the country and even across the seas. Having a long distance relationship was challenging, but we became dynamic and stronger individuals because of it and formed a deep, passionate love for each other that is unwavering despite life’s obstacles. My greatest joy was marrying Jonathan on July 25th, 2009, just a week and a half after he came home from a year in South Korea. Our wedding was a glorious celebration that marked the end of miles that had once separated us and the love between the two of us and the Lord that had sustained us during that time.
Traveling is a passion of ours and has redefined our lives in many ways. In August, we moved across the country to State College, PA. Jon is in his first year at Penn State Dickinson School of Law pursuing his Juris Doctorate degree with a concentration in international law. I am an oncology nurse and am currently working for Penn State Medical at their Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic in State College. Our desire is to serve the Lord by passionately loving others and walking with those that are underprivileged and afflicted.
Jon and Em,
Please continue to update and write in this blog. It is such a gift to be able to read about your thoughts and experiences. You are both such gifted writers. I love you!!!
